The FURminator DeShedding Brush
As many of you know, I’m a fur mama of five! I am also OCD when it comes to having a clean house. My Persian kitty, Abby. is one giant walking fluffball! I take her to the groomers for a lion cut every couple of months, but her hair grows back so fast!
Persian cats, along with other long-haired cats are high maintenance when it comes to grooming. If you do not groom them regularly, they will get mats. Abby tends to put half her face in her water bowl when she drinks. Since she is unable to groom her chin and ear region, she frequently develops mats in those areas. Also, when her hair is long, she is more prone to vomiting up massive hairballs.

When her hair starts to get long, I brush her entire body once a week. It takes no longer than 15 minutes and since she doesn’t mind me grooming her with the FURminator, I usually do it while watching TV with a garbage bag beside me to discard her hair. This deshedding brush has a button at the top that effectively releases the hair from the metal bristles.
